Muzzle Velocity Radar (MVR)
The RSL AFA MVR (Advanced Field Artillery Muzzle Velocity Radar) system measures and manages a wide variety of ammunition for Field Artillery, Naval, Mortars and Anti-aircraft applications. The system provides accurate muzzle velocity data which significantly increases the first round hit probability.
RSL's MVR is used worldwide by many major armed forces.
- Selected as the Standard Muzzle Velocity System for the US Army and Marine Corps
- Designated as M94 by the US Army for all types of field artillery guns and as M93 for the M109A6 PALADIN self-propelled Howitzer

System Components
Integrated Transceiver(ITRAN)
The ITRAN contains the RF unit and Muzzle Velocity Processor (MVP). The RF unit is based on a X-band compact transceiver that generates a Doppler signal related to the velocity of projectiles fired from the gun on which the transceiver is mounted. The MVP is a DSP based processor that performs all the Muzzle Velocity
