T-HUMS Patent Approval
The United States Patent and Trademark Office has approved RSL’s T-HUMS (Total Health & Usage Management System) technology as a patent. This patent has also been registered in Europe . It includes 64 claims pertaining to its innovative approach.
RSL considers this patent as further recognition of its technology leadership in the HUMS market. RSL expects to reshape HUMS market and end-user expectations, by increasing the usage of real-time, in-flight automatic diagnostics, which provides helicopters, aircraft and UAVs with reliable health situation awareness. These cutting-edge capabilities of T-HUMS assure improved flight safety, better availability & operational readiness and savings by an affordable HUMS, which practically does not require in-service investments.
The patent describes the method and the system used for diagnostics and prognostics of mechanical systems. The core of the invention relates to a diagnostics and prognostics method and system applicable, in particular to engines, rotors, drive trains and accessories of aircraft, helicopters and UAVs. This patent describes state of the-art methodology for vibration signature analysis and a breakthrough in the field of mechanical health indicators.
